Watertown Wolves
The Watertown Wolves are a proud minor-professional ice hockey club competing in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL), based in Watertown, New York. Originally founded in 2010 as the 1000 Islands Privateers in Alexandria Bay, the franchise relocated to Watertown for the 2012-13 season and rebranded as the Wolves in 2014. The Wolves call the Watertown Municipal Arena home, where they bring energetic, community-focused hockey to the North Country. Throughout their history, the Wolves have built a legacy of competitiveness and perseverance. They’ve captured three league championships (2015, 2018, and 2022) while navigating arena renovations, ownership changes, and the unique challenges of minor‐pro hockey. Beyond the ice, the team emphasizes local engagement—drawing upon the region’s hockey tradition and rallying community support for each season. From family nights to high-energy games, the Wolves continue to forge meaningful connections in Watertown and the surrounding area. As they gear up for each campaign, the Wolves bring together promising talent, committed leadership, and a fanbase that lives by the motto: Every face in the crowd is part of the pack.
